It is now official, indigenous rapper Oladips has dropped out from Reminisce record label. The talented rapper parted ways with the label after things took a downturn first him while on the label.
About three years ago, Reminisce signed Oladips to his Les Roses Rouges (LRR) music imprint, few years down the ‘Lalakukulala’ crooner parted ways on a bitter note.
Oladips recounted his sour experience on the label in his latest song ‘Maybe‘ where he narrated that his contract was a fraud. He said Reminisce never did as much as was promised on his contract. In fact he was told he (Reminisce) was only doing him a favour by helping him.
“The rapper signed a 5 year contract with the label back in 2016 but he has walked away just 3 years and 5-months into the deal.
“Oladips rose to fame after he won Dbanj’s ‘King is here’ competition and he quickly became a favourite to many street music lover with his punchline and rap style but according to him in his new song, signing the record with Reminisce was a huge ‘mistake’.”
