Nigerian musician Azeez Fashola better known by his stage name Naira Marley was on Monday, May 20, arraigned before a Lagos High Court.
The singer was charged before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for credit card fraud and cybercrime. He was slammed with an 11-count charge by the anti-graft agency.
While in court, his charges were read to him and he pleaded not guilty. After the court hearing, Naira Marley would remain in EFCC custody until May 30 when a bail hearing has been scheduled.
On May 10, Naira Marley, Zlatan, and three others were arrested by the EFCC for involvement and endorsement of internet fraud. Recently, fans of the singer stormed the anti-graft agency office in Lagos to demand his release.
