Veteran South African rapper Refiloe Maele Phoolo aka Cassper Nyovest wishes he was a Nigerian at this moment.
The ‘Mama I Made It’ crooner in a series of tweets praised Nigerians over their intense support of their music industry.
Cassper Nyovest felt slightly jealous he isn’t a Nigerian because of they way Nigerians celebrate their culture and also play 90% local content on radio and TV.
The South African rapper said his countrymen ain’t as supportive or united about pushing music from South Africa like Nigerians do for their own.
This comes after he endorsed Wizkid’s effort on Beyoncé’s ‘Brown Skin Girl’ and tipped it to get into the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
“Won’t even lie. I wish i was from Nigeria too. The love they have for their own artists, the way they celebrate their culture, 90% local content on radio and TV, there way they celebrate their music no matter where they are in the world, the unity within their industry. A DREAM!”
